We started the trip with a cold beer on Koh Phayam where we picked up our customer and 3 last minute divers. After dinner, gearing up, some of the customers realized, that they forgot their wetsuits on Koh Tao :-) no problem since AIDC has all the time enough spare equipment.
The weather conditions have been pretty bad, so we had to decide where we gonna dive next from hour to hour.
But this gave us the chance to start with a Manta crusing over our heads at Koh Bon Reef on the third day.
The weather god was not on our side, the waves didnt want to get smaller, the wind didnt want to get less, so we were exploring new divesites around Koh Tachai instead of crusing to the Similans. We think, nobody mind this, since we saw a lot of good stuff: ¨a¨ like anemone shrimp, ¨b¨ like barracuda, ¨c¨ like cone shell, ¨d¨ like dragonet ... ¨m¨ like mantis shrimps, ¨n¨ like napoleon wrasse, ¨o¨ like octopus (mating), ¨p¨ like pipefish ... ¨r¨ like red fire goby, ¨s¨ like shark, ¨t¨ like tiger cowrie ... ¨y¨ like yellow cube boxfish, ¨z¨ like zebra moray eel.
As always, we spent the last 3 dives around Richelieu Rock, where we saw more fish live than ever, mating cuttlefish, mating octopae, schools of barracudas and so much more to find and take a close look at. With a big smile we started the journey back home, which has taken us a little bit longer than normal, because of this fishing net in front of Koh Payam...last but not least we were falling in our beds and are still dreaming from great dives!
